REBECCA HARRIS
BALANCE WORKSHOP

BALANCE WORKSHOP
18th July 2021
12.30 - 5.30
Horsemanship Hub, WILLOW FIELDS, PUMP LANE, MARLOW, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, SL7 3RA
"I find if we focus on first experiencing togetherness and harmony, training as one with our horse is exceedingly rewarding and enjoyable. In our modern world of technology, horses offer a chance to connect with nature in a very precious way. I know when I let go of a need to be right or perfect then I open into the idea of endless possibilities of motion and communication that my horse and I can explore and develop. My wish is that everything comes from a place of allowing the horse rather than forcing them, teaching them the boundaries and skills they need to be successful, focusing on seeing who the horse is and letting them shine. I want partnerships with horses that function on both a practical level with ease and an ethereal level with a drop of magic. Those moments of magic make everything else melt away and my heart soars." - Rebecca Harris
Maximum of six riders, who will ride as a group throughout the afternoon, using the wonderful facilities at Horsemanship Hub, Willow Fields, including 20x40 arena with Martin Collins surface, large playfield with lots of obstacles and four grass round pens and a covered round pen. It is very open, so please bring clothing for all weathers, from sun cream to raincoats!

Rebecca will coach the riders throughout the afternoon on how to maintain balance and softness as the questions become more challenging.

Suitable for riders of all levels.
Rebecca founded Balance Horsemanship in 2010. She loves to experience horses and humans understanding puzzle pieces they are missing or learning how to advance towards their goals and dreams. Rebecca teaches how to seek softness, free flowing energy and togetherness for horses and human.

In 2003 Rebecca started her Parelli Natural Horsemanship journey, choosing to learn, to change, to grow into a person that horses could rely on, trust, value and build a partnership with. Since then she has learnt from many different instructors and studied several other training systems including True Connection. Rebecca teaches from what she's studied and much of her teaching comes from her own experience. Rebecca's most faithful and patient teachers of all are the horses themselves.

Rebecca's aim is to share what she understands, to enable you to have a more rewarding, fulfilling partnership with your horse, from foals to first rides, feeding, hoof care, daily handling, groundwork, bodywork, balance training, biomechanics, classical horse training, dressage, jumping, TREC, pole work, lunging, long reining, liberty, bridleless riding, and above all emotion and connection.

In a world that values specialists, Rebecca's speciality is to see the big picture and to break it into parts and take time to go step by step with the development of horse and human.

Through her work, Rebecca has found that the key to everything lies in seeking balance. Physical balance is the most central aim of dressage; it offers fluid and effortless motion. Then a balanced mind and connected emotions promote well-being, ease in learning and fulfilment. Horses are attracted to child-like minds who act with integrity, honesty and spontaneity.
Spectators are welcome! There is no need to bring your own chair as we have seating at the venue, although you are of course welcome to if you prefer.

Please note the seating is not undercover, but there is a large viewing marquee, should it rain or for shelter from the sun.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available on site throughout the day but please bring your own lunch and anything else you might need.

Respectfully, we ask that spectators do not bring dogs to the venue. This is because we have our own dogs that will be on-site throughout the weekend.
